The Orchard
Let’s Plant an Orchard! 🌳🍎🍐🍑
In my mind, our orchard was going to be simple — maybe 10 trees total. A few apples, a couple of pears, and some peaches. Easy, right?
But when James gets an idea… well, let’s just say things don’t usually stay “small.” He dives in headfirst: hours of research, reading reviews, comparing prices, planning (and then planning some more). Before I knew it, our little orchard dream had grown into something much bigger. Not exactly magical — more like hours of sweat, dirt, and lessons learned — but eventually, an orchard appeared. 🌱
Now here in Tennessee, we’re starting fresh with a smaller version. We're dealing with new challenges, lack of irrigation, weather that isn't normal, pests that we never had to deal with before, but hopefully we'll get back on track and figure it out. It’ll be worth the wait when we can once again enjoy the sweet taste of homegrown apples, pears, and peaches right from our own orchard. 🍏🍑🍐
Looking Ahead 🌳🍎
We sure do miss the orchard we planted back in Alabama — there’s nothing quite like stepping outside and picking fresh fruit from your own trees. 🍑🍐🍏
For now, the pictures you see are from our Alabama farm orchard. Once these Tennessee trees start bearing fruit, we’ll be updating with fresh photos — and we can’t wait to share that journey with you! 📸🌱
